Massage Therapy First Visit in Gilbert AZ

Your first 60-minute massage therapy session in our Gilbert AZ office is $60. (You do not have to be a Chiropractic patient in our office to see our therapists, and they will not pressure you to become a Chiropractic patient.)

About Our Massage Therapists

Our therapists utilize a variety of techniques, including: myofascial release, Graston Technique, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, cupping, Gua Sha, sports massage, Swedish massage, pregnancy massage, and lymphatic massage. All of our therapists are registered Chiropractic Assistants with the State of Arizona Board of Chiropractic and Licensed Massage Therapists with the State of Arizona Board of Massage Therapy.

About Medical Massage Therapy

The term “medical” massage therapy is used to differentiate relaxing massage therapy from massage therapy done to treat a diagnosed condition. Medical massage therapy is done in a physician’s office, where the physician has evaluated and diagnosed the patient and determined that massage therapy would be an appropriate treatment. Our therapists work with Dr. Brown to resolve painful conditions as quickly as possible. (By the way, if you just need a relaxing massage therapy session, our therapists can do that, too.)

About Cupping

Cupping therapy is a treatment in which the massage therapist puts silicone cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. Cupping therapy helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, and as a type of deep tissue massage therapy. Suction is created by squeezing the cup and then it is placed on the skin.

The cups may be moved from place to place on the skin to increase circulation and break up soft tissue adhesions. Cupping may also be utilized during a relaxing massage therapy session.

About Gua Sha

Sometimes called “scraping”, Gua Sha is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation. Our office utilizes Gua Sha tools made of jade, rose quartz and stainless steel. Gua Sha is an effective therapy for conditions involving muscles, tendons and ligaments. Gua Sha increases circulation, breaks up adhesions between the skin and the muscles, and breaks up adhesions between the muscles themselves. Temporary therapeutic bruising is often created with a Gua Sha treatment. Research shows that the temporary therapeutic bruising also produces an anti-inflammatory and immune protective effect that persists for days following a single Gua Sha treatment.
