Mesa, AZ Acupuncture Services provided by Brown Chiropractic & Acupuncture
Acupuncture is stimulation of Acupuncture points to control and regulate the flow and balance of energy (or "Chi") of the body. The Chinese refer to the energy of the body as "Chi". We use only sterile, disposable Acupuncture needles. In our office we combine Acupuncture with Physiotherapy for the fastest results. Acupuncture also works best when combined with manipulation. It is only in Western culture that we split Acupuncture and Chiropractic up into separate professions. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture and manipulation are always done together.
Dr. Brown not only specialized in Acupuncture and Physiotherapy and he also practices Chiropractic, MUA and more offering the most options to help treat patients at his Chiropractic and Acupuncture office in Tempe.
- Concerns about Acupuncture vary we want to make patients comfortable, both physically and mentally.
Pain and cost seem to be concerns people have before visiting our Acupuncture office in Mesa, AZ. Acupuncture in our office is not painful; in fact, most people find it very relaxing.
- We utilize a variety of methods to stimulate Acupuncture points including needles, laser, electrical stimulation, magnetic stimulation and acupressure. If a person is averse to needles, the other methods of stimulation are equally effective.
- Pain relief is the number one use of Acupuncture. If you speak to someone who says they had Acupuncture and it was a painful experience, they probably had Acupuncture from a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Doctor, and it can be a very painful experience.
- Dr. Brown performs a Japanese-inspired style of Acupuncture which relieves pain, and doesn't cause it.
The cost of Acupuncture treatment varies in different parts of the country. Some Acupuncturists in our area charge $100 to $120 per treatment. We charge $75 per Acupuncture treatment in our office. Because we combine Acupuncture with Physiotherapy and Chiropractic treatment, our average number of visits to treat a painful condition is much less than other Acupuncturists. Our average patient in pain is out of pain in 1-6 treatments.

Ed I started coming to Brown Chiropractic back in 2002 when I was an MBA student at Arizona State University. By the 6th week of school, lugging around my laptop and books had taken quite a toll on my right upper back and I knew something had to be done. At the time, Brown Chiropractic and Acupuncture was in a little office at LA Fitness (nothing like the spacious office condo he's got now...I want one for my own real estate business!), so I stopped by after a workout and scheduled an appointment. I had never been to a Chiropractor before and I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I knew that anything would be better than having to live with that back pain for another day. From the x-rays to the Acupuncture treatments to the initial adjustment, Dr. Brown explained things very clearly to me and in a way that made the whole process very comfortable. I started to feel better after my first adjustment and experienced even more progress after additional visits. After about 4 or 5 treatments, my shoulder pain was gone and I was back to good health. With regular exercise and a visit to Dr. Brown every few weeks or so, I stay healthy and pain-free. In fact, I look forward to the visits each time. The Acupuncture & Acupad treatment feels like a relaxing mini-massage and I usually fall asleep after about 10 minutes of it. Not a bad way to break up the work day! Thanks again, Dr. Brown!
Susie For almost two years I had been plagued with pain in my right hip and leg causing me to limp when I walked. I had developed severe arthritis in my hip due to complications from a surgery that required me to put all my weight on my right leg while I recovered. I joined 24-Hour Fitness in Tempe to see if I could ease my pain, had Physical Therapy and had seen three different Chiropractors all to no avail. One day as I was parking at 24-Hour Fitness and I saw Dr. Brown's office and thought about trying Acupuncture. I was immediately impressed with everyone that I spoke to and I could see that their expertise went beyond what I had already tried. Dr. Brown asked me to give him at least 12 weeks of treatment to see just what could be accomplished and he also suggested that I workout with Jeremy. So I have been coming 3 times a week since November of 2006. I am really seeing a difference in my pain management and I am becoming more limber and agile. At my age (69) I realize that I will need to continue to workout with Jeremy and see Dr. Brown occasionally to keep myself feeling good. It is so important as you get older to do what you can to maintain flexibility in your body so that you can reduce pain and stiffness. I thank God I found Dr. Brown and his staff. They have been wonderful to work with. My blessings go out to them.
Tracy I want to thank you so much for all of your help! I have been dealing with my foot pain (plantar fasciitis) for over a year and have seen several medical doctors. Then about four weeks ago, when my foot specialist talked about surgery I was frantic. Being a hairstylist, I am on my feet up to eight hours a day. If I were to proceed with the surgery, I would not be able to work for up to four weeks. My husband mentioned to me to try Acupuncture and I am so glad I found your office! Now after your recommended treatment, I no longer have foot pain when I get out of bed in the morning. I am like a different person being able to do the things I love, like Step Class! Again, thank you so much!
